Leaving Cert Vocational Programme

LCVP is an enhanced Leaving Certificate. Students take a minimum of five Leaving Certificate subjects, to include Irish, a modern European language and two of the
remaining subjects must be selected from the Vocational Subject Grouping (the list of VSG is available from the school office).

Students must take two Link Modules to provide a vocational focus. These are
Preparation for the World of Work and Enterprise Education. The Link Modules are assessed as a single unit.

There is a written examination and a portfolio of course work.
LCVP students receive the same certificate as other Leaving Cert students but their
certificate includes an additional statement of the results of the Link Modules.

The Link Modules are recognised in points terms by the institutes of Technology and
the National Universities of Ireland.
