First year basketball 2010/2011

The first year basketball team had a very successful year winning five out of our first six games. We have already reached the regional semi final against Ballyshannon.

Our first game was an away game against Falcarragh which ended with a wide margin victory, 38 points to 19. We were delighted to win our first game as this victory gave us the confidence to succeed in our next four games, Donegal town at home, Killybegs at home and away and Falcarragh at home.

In our last game, we had a very narrow defeat against Donegal town in a nailbiting game which went into 3 periods extra-time. We learned that 45 seconds is a long time in Basketball.

Our team showed great spirit and team leadership throughout the year and we look forward to continued success in the future.
