GAA All-Stars

ULSTER COLLEGES GAA ALL-STARS
In November 2010, four of our Senior Gaelic team were selected to take part in trials for the Ulster Colleges All Star team of 2011. Those girls were Maria Carr, NiamhFriel, Emer Gallagher and Geraldine McLaughlin. On a very wet and windy day in Cookstown the four girls each played two matches after which 44 players were selected to return for a second trial. Geraldine, Emer and Niamh made it through to the second trials which took place in Cookstown again on February 4th. Both Geraldine McLaughlin and NiamhFriel were chosen to be part of the Ulster Colleges team. The girls were presented with their awards at a function in Quinns Corner, Dungannon on Friday 18th February and both played starring roles in Ulster’s defeat of Connacht All Star team on Friday 25th February in Mullahoran, Co Cavan.
